Dr Alanah Schier

MChiro, BChSc

I’m a chiropractor focused on helping individuals and families move beyond pain and dysfunction toward long term, sustainable health and wellness. My approach looks at the body structurally, chemically, neurologically and emotionally, identifying the underlying drivers of symptoms rather than simply managing them. I work with families across all life stages from infants to the elderly, supporting better movement, brain-body communication, resilience and overall function.

My care integrates multiple modalities and each visit is tailored to you, always. My ongoing studies into Applied Kinesiology allow me to assess functional imbalances and investigate and assist with gut imbalances, hormone dysregulation, liver function, immune function and other bodily stressors and intolerances. Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) allows me to address the impact of stress and emotional patterns on the body. Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) supports nervous system and structural alignment through a chiropractic lens. I also incorporate dry needling to reduce muscle tension, improve mobility and support recovery, especially for sporty cases.

Patients often come to see me with ongoing neck and back pain, headaches, postural strain, muscle tension, fatigue, gut imbalances, hormonal or liver dysfunction, nervous system overload, or symptoms that haven’t fully resolved elsewhere. I view the body as a complex system. Each symptom is a clue and my role is to step back, assess the full picture and identify how the components fit together. By addressing underlying drivers rather than chasing symptoms, I aim to help the body stabilise, regulate and function better over time.

Chiropractic found me early in life, but I discovered its true power in high school as a migraine sufferer. After years of monthly bedridden episodes, chiropractic changed everything, with relief within minutes and lasting change within months. That experience inspired me to help others move from just existing to truly thriving. Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me by the beach or at a tennis court, going for walks or grabbing coffee, spending time with my family and friends, my dog Brandi and my partner Max.

Dr Michael Maroon

MChiro, BChSc, Applied Kinesiology PAK

I am a chiropractor, kinesiologist and Melillo Method practitioner with a passion for neurodevelopment and holistic health. Since earning my Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2011, I have worked across multiple clinics in Sydney and Brisbane, deepening my expertise in Applied Kinesiology, primitive reflex integration and neurodevelopmental therapy.

My focus is on helping individuals of all ages achieve optimal health, with a special interest in paediatric chiropractic care and neurodevelopmental support. I specialise in addressing:

  • Learning and behavioural disorders in children
  • Headaches and postural stress
  • Gut dysfunction and nervous system imbalances
  • Sports injuries and performance optimisation

I take a whole-body approach, recognising that many of these issues stem from poor posture, diet, lifestyle choices and, most importantly, brain development. My goal is to help my patients achieve long-term health and resilience through tailored chiropractic care.

Beyond the clinic, I stay active through functional training and enjoy spending quality time with my wife and kids. We prioritise a holistic lifestyle, making mindful choices about nutrition, movement and well-being to support our family’s health.

I’m committed to helping my patients move, think and feel better naturally.

Dr Cathy Doyle

MChiro, BChSc, Naturopath, Applied Kinesiology PAK

I graduated from Macquarie University in 2009 with a Masters of Chiropractic Degree. When I first started treating patients at the beginning of my career, I started to see the body as a puzzle, deeply entwined in a series of overlapping pathways. Over time, this maze started to become clear and I began adding more knowledge which began unlocking a completely new way that I approached patients.

On this journey, I spent time training in new courses and treatment modalities. I became accredited in Applied Kinesiology and started practising Retained Neonatal Reflexes Technique and Neuro-Emotional Technique. This enabled me to shift emotional blocks and treat in a style that further aligned to my vision.
An integral part of this chapter was deciding to become a naturopath and adding musculoskeletal acupuncture. This concreted my desire to look at the body nutritionally as well as structurally and emotionally.

One of my biggest passions is helping families. Whether it be helping children, parents or new additions to the family, getting to know your story is my favourite part. It is truly a privilege to be able to assist a family develop, adapt and rise through various challenges. I would describe my treatment style as a combination of an adaptation to my own experiences coupled with the incredible knowledge I have picked up along the way. This knowledge usually sparks a craving to learn more and keeps the passion going!

Some of the conditions I see in practice include, adrenal fatigue, gut or hormonal imbalances, headaches, anxiety, infantile colic and fatigue. I also see children with behavioural or learning difficulties or patients who are just generally not feeling “well” but are unsure where to start to help their body repair and feel better.

Outside of the clinic, I love being outdoors with my husband and three children. I keep active by chasing these monkeys around as well as running (albeit a bit slower these days) and pilates.

Darren Cave

Adv. N.D, D.B.M, D.HOM, D.NUTRI, D.R.M, D.S.M, A.Cert.M.S.C, WC

I’m a musculoskeletal therapist focused on improving muscular and skeletal health through a combination of soft tissue and mobilisation techniques. I regularly work with patients experiencing back pain, joint pain, neck pain and muscular injuries, helping them restore movement and function.

During a consultation, I take a detailed approach, starting with postural analysis and assessing range of movement through both passive and active testing. From there, I tailor treatment to your needs, incorporating remedial massage techniques and providing a personalised home stretching program to support ongoing progress.

As a qualified naturopath, I also integrate natural medicine into my work. This can include nutritional guidance, herbal remedies, homeopathy and targeted supplementation to support recovery and overall health. By taking a thorough case history, I aim to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and support the body’s natural ability to heal.

I enjoy working with individuals and families across a range of health concerns, including rehabilitation, detoxification and weight management. My focus is always on delivering practical, tailored care that supports long term outcomes and helps you feel and function at your best.

My background is in administration and most of my career was spent as a team assistant in investment banks or financial institutions. When the chance to work with Cathy was presented to me I jumped at it. I have been a patient of Cathy’s for years and not only has she has been an integral part of my family’s wellbeing, she is a genuinely great human being!

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband Matt, two teenage sons, Oli and Tom and my daughter, Lucy. I enjoy going to the gym, walking and playing my weekly games of netball and basketball.
