Sometimes the body holds patterns of strain that sit beneath the surface. These patterns can influence posture, tension, mood and the way you respond to stress. By working with the structure and the nervous system together, SOT can help release these deeper holding patterns so your body can return to a more balanced state.
During a session you simply lie on the table and breathe while your practitioner observes how your body is compensating and where it is struggling to adapt. Soft blocks may be placed under your pelvis and gentle techniques may be used to support your skull and spine. There is no forceful cracking. The process is calm and supportive. Many people describe it as grounding, steady and deeply relaxing.
SOT may be helpful if you experience ongoing lower back or pelvic discomfort, neck or jaw tension, headaches, postural strain or a sense that your body never fully unwinds. It can also support people who feel stuck in a stress cycle or who prefer a more gentle approach. It is often suitable for children and pregnancy care.
At Interlude Health we choose methods that support both the body and the nervous system. SOT aligns with our belief that true healing happens when the body feels safe, supported and connected. This approach allows your system to let go of what it has been holding and find a more natural state of balance.
